UK motorists breaking laws abroad

Research conducted by an insurance firm ‘Sainsbury’s car Insurance’ has revealed that many UK motorists are breaking the laws when they are driving in other countries during their holidays or business tours.

The research also found that a huge amount of car owners will not care to pack a glowing warning triangle in their cars even if it is a legal requirement of the country in which they are driving. This is a serious matter that can make them pay heavy penalties, accumulate points on their driving licenses (which are obviously from the UK) as well as making their temporary or travel insurances as void, making them uninsured in a foreign country.

Courtesy Vehicle Insurance Still Forms a Small Proportion in the Insurance Sector

A study conducted by a leading insurance company in the UK offering free car insurance quotes claimed that most of the insurance providers do not offer a courtesy insurance policy for cars. The study, brought into effect by the company to understand financial research, showed the ultimate differences that exist between the insurance policies offering courtesy insurance. It was noted that most of the insurance companies offered the courtesy insurance while clubbing it along the comprehensive insurance policy.

The results of the research revealed that about 49% of the insurance policies in the UK did not include courtesy car policy while the others including 28% of the insurance providers offered the policy scheme but charged extra costs for the same.
